Are we compatible?
Do we have an uncommon amount in common?

We’ll start by saying that we firmly believe that behaviors are values in action.

As our AmeriVet team moves from concept to execution, each of us understands we are working towards our mission every single hour, every single day.

Okay. That’s the theory. Now let’s talk reality. The AmeriVet Way consists of six ‘behaviors’ that are all about practicing what we preach:

BE BOLD

(innovate)

BE BOLD

Status quo is a status “no.” While effort is appreciated, we reward and celebrate results. We applaud those who set big, bold goals and achieve them.

NO JERKS ALLOWED

.

NO JERKS ALLOWED

It’s simple. Be the person you would want to work with and respect others. Trust that your teammates are working toward the same goal, even if their approach is different than yours.

PRACTICE BLAMELESS PROBLEM SOLVING

PRACTICE BLAMELESS PROBLEM SOLVING

Find solutions and don’t point fingers. Learn from the past, but don’t dwell on it. Find a path forward and always stay above the line.

TAKE IT PERSONALLY

(be accountable)

TAKE IT PERSONALLY

Be accountable for your actions. Put your brainpower to work and look for the “how” instead of the “can’t.” Show initiative and be resourceful.

HAVE HUSTLE

(keep moving forward)

HAVE HUSTLE

Forward motion creates change. Look to the future and know that it’s okay to move quickly. Be willing to do what it takes to get the job done... plus a little bit more.

TRUE PARTNERSHIP

(think ‘we,’ not ‘them’)

TRUE PARTNERSHIP

Think “we,” not us and them. When we share the same goals, our partners win and we win – and a shared success feels better.

To dive right into each of these, simply click on the symbols. Then ask yourself: Are we more alike than different? Only you can answer that question. We look forward to finding out!

FAQs

What are the main differences between a veterinary assistant and a veterinary technician?

Both veterinary assistants and technicians play important roles in animal care, but there are some differences in their job duties and responsibilities.

Veterinary assistants typically provide support to the veterinary technicians and veterinarians. They may help with tasks such as holding animals for exams or procedures, cleaning and maintaining equipment and facilities, and providing basic care such as feeding and exercising animals.

Veterinary technicians, on the other hand, have more advanced training and certification. They are responsible for performing many of the technical tasks involved in animal care, such as taking blood samples, administering medications, and conducting diagnostic tests. They may also provide more advanced medical care, such as anesthesia administration and surgical assistance.

Overall, both veterinary assistants and technicians play important roles in providing quality care for animals. While their job duties may differ, they work together as a team to ensure the well-being of the animals they care for.

What are the advantages of joining an AmeriVet partner practice as a veterinary assistant?

What are the most sought-after skills as a veterinary assistant?

A passion for animals!

A set of highly dexterous hands!

There is a myriad of fundamental skills veterinary assistants should have. As a DVM's right-hand person, veterinary assistants play a critical role in any successful veterinary practice. And while nimble fingers are a huge plus, the most essential skills a veterinary assistant can have is humility, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
