What are the benefits of a veterinary practice partnership?
There are several benefits to a partnership with AmeriVet. The most significant are:

  • Retaining an active role in clinical decision-making, client care, and growing your business.
  • Focusing on what you love — practicing veterinary medicine and treating the animals you care about while we work to integrate your business model with our business process support.
  • Increasing your income by partnering with our operations team to elevate your business.

How does AmeriVet’s veterinary partnership model work?
AmeriVet offers two models to our veterinary partners: Joint Venture (JV) and Top Company (Topco).

In a JV sale, we purchase a majority share of your practice, and you retain a minority interest. This interest means you continue to have an active role (and financial stake) in growing the veterinary business, benefit from our profit-sharing platform, and receive a premium multiple on any future exit.

In a Topco sale, we purchase your practice in full, and a portion of your purchase price will be paid in AmeriVet shares. This means you continue to have an active role (and financial stake) in growing your veterinary business and ours!

Both models mean you can return to the day-to-day veterinary care you loved before becoming an owner, prioritizing animal health above all else — but you’ll be able to safeguard the core values of your veterinary practice as well as your team members and fellow vets.

Is selling a veterinary practice a complicated process?
In short, yes. But, with AmeriVet, it doesn’t have to be. We offer full transparency throughout the acquisition process, from the initial practice valuation and signing of an LOI to your partnership closing date. We’ll be with you every step of the way.
