FAQ for the Medical Leadership Summit

What will I learn at the Medical Leadership Summit?

The 2026 Medical Leadership Summit is for medical directors, select partners in medical director roles, or in practices where there is no medical director, an active partner DVM or emerging medical leader selected by their leadership. The purpose of the Summit is to connect with their peers, learn valuable leadership, business and clinical skills that will ultimately help improve the medical quality and operational effectiveness of their practice.

We’re investing in training that empowers our medical leaders to drive high-quality veterinary care and strengthen outcomes at the hospital level. The agenda will ensure all medical leaders are deeply connected to where the company is headed, understand their role in that future, and are fully set up for long-term success.

Who will attend the Medical Leadership Summit?

A medical leader, ideally from each Amerivet practice, will be represented at the Summit. The Executive Team, Regional team and Operations Directors, and some Support Center Team will also be in attendance to support the success of the Summit. Representatives from select industry vendors will also participate.

Will my expenses be covered for the event?

AmeriVet will cover:

  • Your travel expenses to and from the airport
  • Airfare to and from Nashville, TN
  • Ground transportation to and from the hotel
  • Meals and beverages during the conference and related events.

Is there an additional stipend for attending the Summit?

This event is an investment in you to learn and grow and connect with your fellow community and as such you will not receive an additional stipend for attending.

Can I bring my Spouse/Partner or Children?

To keep every dollar focused on development and execution, this summit is for attendees-only. Therefore, no spouses or companions are invited to attend. We would like you to be able to focus on your own development; and your daily agendas/schedules will be full with opportunities to learn, engage and connect with your peers.

Can I stay before/after the event?

You are welcome to visit Nashville before or after the event. Extensions are case by case and must be coordinated with the event planner and travel coordinator. AmeriVet will cover standard Summit travel and nights only; any fare difference, extra hotel nights, and incidental expenses for a personal stay are your responsibility.

What is the dress code?

Business casual for sessions; casual for evening networking. Bring layers as the rooms can run cool or warm, and Nashville evenings in January can run cold.

Will there be CE credit?

We’re finalizing the agenda and content for the Summit, including vendor sessions and potential CE. We will communicate updates as details are finalized.

When will I receive information about travel?

If you accept, you will receive a follow-up email with details on how to book your travel.
