Are we compatible?
Do we have an uncommon amount in common?

You’ve created a business with your own culture, personality, and style. We’ve done the same. Both have proven to be successful. Both are valid. Neither should cancel out the other. Neither should dominate. Instead, let’s find out if the two can be happily and ever-so-naturally merged! We’ll start by saying that we firmly believe that behaviors are values in action. As our AmeriVet team moves from concept to execution, each of us understands that we are working toward our mission every single hour of every single day.

Okay. That’s the theory. Now let’s talk reality. There are six ‘behaviors’ that are all about practicing what we preach:

BE BOLD

(innovate)

BE BOLD

Status quo is a status “no.” While effort is appreciated, we reward and celebrate results. We applaud those who set big, bold goals and achieve them

NO JERKS ALLOWED

.

NO JERKS ALLOWED

It’s simple. Be the person you would want to work with and respect others. Trust that your teammates are working toward the same goal, even if their approach is different than yours.

PRACTICE BLAMELESS PROBLEM SOLVING

PRACTICE BLAMELESS PROBLEM SOLVING

Find solutions and don’t point fingers. Learn from the past, but don’t dwell on it. Find a path forward and always stay above the line.

TAKE IT PERSONALLY

(be accountable)

TAKE IT PERSONALLY

Be accountable for your actions. Put your brainpower to work and look for the “how” instead of the “can’t.” Show initiative and be resourceful.

HAVE HUSTLE

(keep moving forward)

HAVE HUSTLE

Forward motion creates change. Look to the future and know that it’s okay to move quickly. Be willing to do what it takes to get the job done… plus a little bit more

TRUE PARTNERSHIP

(think ‘we,’ not ‘them’)

TRUE PARTNERSHIP

Think “we,” not us and them. When we share the same goals, our partners win and we win – and a shared success feels better.

To get into the nitty-gritty of each of these, just click on the icons. Then ask yourself: Are we more alike than different? Only you can answer that question. And we look forward to the possibility of finding out!

FAQs

What Are the Best Cities for Vets in Florida?

With ample sunshine, gorgeous beaches, and zero income tax, you really can’t go wrong in Florida. The state is full of wonderful cities and adorable small towns—all surrounded by beauty. But if we had to narrow it down…

Tampa is one of the best cities for families. It has excellent schools, low crime, and a diverse population. Tampa is also full of culture with its many museums, the Tampa Riverwalk, delicious restaurants, and professional sports teams.

If you’re looking for more of a small-town vibe, Spring Hill might be just the spot. It has beautiful weather, a low cost of living, and runs along Florida’s Nature Coast. Even more, it’s just 40 miles north of Tampa, so shopping, culture, and restaurants are an easy jaunt away.

Lakeland is another lovely small town; just as its name suggests, it is full of lakes! It has a beautiful nature park and one of the state’s top museums, the Polk Museum of Art. Lakeland offers the best of small-town living with easy access to Tampa and Orlando.

And, of course, we would be remiss not to mention Miami. Miami is a vibrant international city located on the southern tip of Florida, close to Latin America and the Caribbean. Great for young adults who love to eat delicious food, relax on the beach, and dance the nights away.

Is There a High Demand for Vets in Florida?

Yes! More and more people are moving to Florida and bringing their pets with them. The industry is eager for some new helping hands.

But, of course, you need to be qualified. If you are interested in an entry-level position, such as an assistant or technician, you need to have completed a bachelor’s degree. Advanced degrees and licensing exams are needed to be a veterinarian.
